Larry Crosby - Webmaster
I came from one of those families that was fairly well severed from all relationships with family.  This did not seem important when I was growing up as a child, but as I got older, I became more interested in "my family".

I have recently had the good fortune to retire at the early age of 56, and now have the time and means to begin the process of figuring out who I am and where I came from.

I have had the advantage of a great piece of work done by Bertha Crosby and Fannie Crosby McClesky , who managed to trace family ties back into the late 1700's.  This was the basis for my beginning documentation and research.  Other advantages are access to the internet, with all of the genealogy resources available today.

However, there is no substitute for visiting the actual homes, burial grounds, and living relatives whom you have never met, or even knew existed.

My wife, Carol, and I took such a trip during July of the year 2000 - covering 11,000 miles in 31 days.  The people we met, and the information we discovered  have truly inspired me to continue the pursuit, and equally important, to make this information available to others who are interested.

I have now spent enough time reading old letters, looking at old pictures, and visiting where they lived - to know who I am, why I think the way I do, and to have a great sense of belonging. I hope to present and preserve that same "belonging" for other Crosbys.

For those looking for your past - join the journey and you, too, may find out who you are.

Hope you enjoy the website!
